Angels

My brother made the angel in sharp focus when he was in the 2nd grade. The following year, I had the same teacher, Mrs. Pettit, and made the other one. My angel is best appreciated in soft focus. Happy holidays.

Sous Vide

The contraption in the foreground is and immersion circulator, which keeps water heated to extremely precise temperatures, an integral part of the 'sous vide' cooking process. The man in the back is Richie. For those who know Richie, this picture is fittingly framed. Learn more about the man and the method.

Not Armo

I went to see Armo play tonight and was planning on posting a photo from the show. If you click through on this image, you will arrive at my Flickr page where you will find some shots of Dave playing. In an effort to mix it up a little with my subject matter, I decided to post this image. Keep an eye next week for shots Armo's CD release party at the Hotel Utah on December 30th. www.davearmo.com

Cal Water Polo

Mike Sharf, shooting a penalty shot at the MPSF Tournament today. Cal placed 3rd in the tournament with a 12-9 victory over Stanford. It remains to be seen whether the Golden Bears will capture the at-large berth in next week's NCAA Championships. Polka Dots

Lhasa, Tibet.

I've created this blog mostly for my own motivation--to keep myself shooting on a daily basis. I will post a new image 6 times a week and once a week will post something out of my 'archives'. I will try to post a photo essay once a month. Please feel free to provide any sort of feedback, criticism, or support that you find fitting. If you're interested in prints, please contact me.
